Leaks and rumors generally give a pretty good indication of what is going to come out at E3. So, it was a surprise to see Beyond Good and Evil 2 at Ubisoft’s conference.
However, no actual gameplay was shown off, but that was intentional. In a recent interview with The Verge, Michel Ancel said that development hasn’t even begun.
“When you don’t have this technology, you can’t really start the game,” Ancel said. “It’s too difficult. But now we can say for sure that we will make this game, we’ll finish it. Because we have the technology for it.”
He went as far as to say that the game is at “day zero of development.”
At the very least, it’ll probably be a few years before anything more comes on Beyond Good and Evil 2.
