PC Players Will Receive Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition Update for Free
Divinity: Original Sin 2 will receive an enhanced edition later this year, much like its precursor. The update will launch this Summer on consoles, but current PC owners of the game will have access to all the extras for free.
Larian confirmed the release for PC will be in August of this year. The update will automatically be added to the libraries of those who already own the game, no matter if on Steam or GOG.
What’s in the Definitive edition, however, is up to speculation. The original game got a dosing of a revised story, new content, controller support and features across all systems in the game. Original Sin 2 is a tighter game overall, but there will likely still be a few surprises in the update.
Console players will arrive at the party first, though. This definitive edition is about to go into testing via the Xbox Game Preview program, allowing players to give their feedback to an NPC in-game. It’s only the first few hours of the game, but still a nice indicator of what’s coming in August.
