Far Cry 5 delayed.
Far Cry 5 has been delayed by a month Ubisoft announces in a recent short blog post. Far Cry 5 was due for release February 27th 2018 on PS4, PC, Xbox and will now release March 27th. Quote “the extra time will allow the team at Ubisoft Montreal to make some additional improvements that will bring the best, most ambitious Far Cry experience in line with the team’s original vision.”
“Tune in to the Ubiblog on December 15 at 7AM PT to get the newest look at Far Cry 5.” teased Ubisoft in the very same blog post. I will be eagerly checking the blog on Friday.
It is little wonder that they need more time, Far Cry 5 is a very ambitious title. It has everything from hunting to the ability to customize your cars.
Car customisation sounds very good too, in an interview with USGamer Raphael Parent (lead programmer) stated “You’re going to be able to add turrets, the mulcher on the tractor, different paintjobs. It was just a matter of giving that control to the player. How deep does it go? Well I can’t give you all the details just yet.”
The delay came as a surprise to myself but I personally would rather see a one month delay than a buggy release.
They also announced that The Crew 2 will launch at the first half of their fiscal year.
