New co-op horror game GTFO from Payday designer gets a trailer and writer
To say we’ve been eager to see GTFO would be an understatement. Since the game was announced, we have been curious to see what it will look like and, thankfully, it looks pretty damn good.
Today, the development team, headed up by Payday and Payday 2 designer, showed off the game for The Game Awards 2017. Two full minutes of gameplay, promising hours of hardcore, co-op, horror, FPS goodness.
The game has been mostly under wraps up to this point, but we have some new details now. The Last of Us writer, Adam Gascoine has joined the team and is heading up the story.
“The narrative of GTFO encourages exploration and discovery,” Gascoine writes. “The more you play a character, the more you learn about them – like how they ended up as scavengers trying to survive in this grisly and disturbing underworld called The Complex.”
The game is slotted to release “sometime” in 2018 so we’ll keep you updated as we learn more. In the meantime, you can wishlist the game on Steam and check out some screenshots below.
