New card allows Hearthstone players to win on first turn
Shaman’s Unstable Evolution spell allows players to defeat their opponent in just a single turn. However, that may not be totally apparent at first.
Redditor Mega544 came up with a scheme to use the spell in conjunction with a couple of pirates in a deck.
Here’s how it works: You’ll need a 1 cost pirate in your hand, like Bloodsail Corsair, and Patches the Pirate somewhere in your deck. Summon Bloodsail, triggering Patches’ effect and bringing him out.
If you go second in Hearthstone, you are awarded a coin the can cash in for a single bonus mana crystal. So, you can cast Unstable Evolution in exchange for your coin if you’re playing as a Shaman. Once you cast it, both Bloodsail and Patches will turn into both random, 2 cost, cards. If one of those is Sorcerer’s Apprentice or Radiant Elemental (both which have the effect of spells costing 1 less) you can essentially have unlimited uses of Unstable Evolution.
This is a lot of luck of drawing the correct combination of cards, but it’s not impossible. In fact, there are few turn one strategies put together by another Redditor, ComboPriest.
