PC Aficionado….goes to a dark place.
Actually, it’s not that bad at all really. Being PC gamers we sometimes get looked at differently by other people in the industry. We sometimes get considered as elitists, with all of the PC Master Race memes that get thrown around, but really we are all gamers together. (even though PC is factually the superior platform, but that is beside the point I am trying to make here!).
Even though we have things like Steam, higher frame rates, and more power in our rigs, we sometimes miss out on exclusive titles on consoles, and in 2017 I did something I never thought I’d do again. I purchased not one console, but TWO. I picked up the Nintendo Switch, and a PlayStation 4. I felt that these two combined with PC would be the best mix together to be able to experience every game that is going to come out over the next couple of years. And well, playing one consoles isn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I’ve enjoyed my Nintendo Switch, and I have really enjoyed playing some of the exclusive titles on the PS4 that I’ve heard so much about over the years. With games like Zelda, The Last of Us, and Uncharted all taking up my time over the past few months.
So with that, here at PC Aficionado, we will now start covering console games, in what we will call, the “Console Corner”. We are also going to be expanding our team of writers to help cover games in the coming weeks too. So we really will be your premium source of gaming reviews and news.
Stay tuned for our first console reviews in the next few days, with Mario Odyssey and Skyrim VR, both set to feature on PCAficionado.com
