Say goodbye – Marvel Heroes ending
Marvel Heroes is closing up shop. The free massively multiplayer ARPG will be no more, a shame with the game getting so much attention this year. Marvel confirmed to Kotaku that the relationship with developer Gazillion Entertainment has ended and, consequently, the game as well.
“We regret to inform our Marvel Heroes fans that we have ended our relationship with Gazillion Entertainment, and that the Marvel Heroes games will be shut down,” a rep said. “We would like to sincerely thank the players who joined the Marvel Heroes community, and will provide any further updates as they become available.”
Marvel Heroes first released in 2013, with a console version just released in June of this year under the name Marvel Heroes Omega. The game underperformed which could be a reason why the doors are closing.
