CD Projekt reluctant to abandon The Witcher franchise
There’s been little said about what will come of The Witcher now that GWENT is an esport and The Witcher 3 has blown everyone away. Yes, Cyberpunk 2077 is on the way, but CEO Adam Kiciński came out to reveal details on the company’s future plans.
WIth Polish financial site Strefainwestorow, Kiciński said that Cyberpunk will be much larger than The Witcher 3, both in scope and quality. While he was still tight-lipped, he did say the team is excited to show the game off.
However, there was more said about The Witcher. The third game, as everyone knows, was the end of the trilogy. There are no plans for a fourth game, but there may be games set in the Witcher universe.
Kiciński says that fans and investors won’t forgive them if the studio abandons the series altogether, so the possibility of a new game is pretty high.
Needless to say,we’ll keep our eyes peeled if anything comes of it.
