Fallout writer teases something related to the game
Chris Avellone, one of the most prolific RPG writers in the business, changed his Facebook profile picture to something Fallout-related this week. The photo looks like a hand drawing of Vault Boy hugging a stick figure with the caption, “I missed you so much”.
Avellone has a few credits in the Fallout world already, writing both Fallout 2 and New Vegas. He has also worked on a number of other RPGs including Torment: Tides of Numenera, Prey, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Icewind Dale, and Knights of the Old Republic II.
There are, of course, no other details. There is the possibility that Avellone is working on a comic for Fallout 4 like he did with New Vegas. Considering he didn’t write Fallout 4, I would venture to say that’s not the case.
My speculation (or my hope) is that he picked up a position at Bethesda as the writer of a brand new Fallout title. It’s been two years since the last installment, with a five-year gap in between New Vegas and Fallout 4. Now that Bethesda is gearing up for the release of The Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, a Fallout game may be starting development.
No one can say much of anything at this point, though. Would you like a new Fallout game? Let us know in the comment below.
