These handcrafted keycaps look like an exotic island on your keyboard
Mechanical keyboard junkies (myself included) rejoice. A new batch of beautiful, handcrafted keycaps is here.
Jelly Key has actually been making these caps since last year, but they’re still just as good looking. This cap called Forbidden Realm comes in one of three variations.
Jelly Kay says they mark artisan products for mechanical keyboards, and I’d have to agree. These caps are crafted by hand with wood, grass, smoke, resin, and ‘something we don’t know the English word for’. A single cap can take up to 24 hours to create.
They make a variety of other products, including more keycaps, wrist rest, and even a full keyboard. All the caps are Cherry MX compatible so you can swap them on your favorite keyboard.
One of my favorites is the Mediterranean Beach Resort cap which came out earlier this month. It looks uncomfortable in use, but it’s gorgeous. You can see a picture of it below.
