Abandoned SNES Rayman game is now playable on PC
A prototype for an abandoned SNES version of Rayman was recently discovered. Thanks to PC, you can try it out with an emulator. The prototype was uploaded by Omar Cornut, who founded Lizardcube, the studio behind the recent Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap remaster.
Cornut received consent from Rayman creator Michel Ancel. However, it’s a very early version so there’s not much to expect.
“It’s a really early demo, not really a playable game,” Cornut warned on Twitter. He continued later: “According to old screenshots and reports it did grow to a more fully fledged game but a later version wasn’t found yet.”

You can download the prototype directly via Dropbox and run it inside any SNES emulator you have.
