$4.3 million of refunds issued for Rust
329,970 copies of Rust have been refunded on Steam, totaling $4,382,032. Gary Newman of Facepunch Studios went to Twitter to show off the numbers.

In context, that accounts for about 6% of all Rust sales. Despite this, Newman doesn’t seem to mind.
“I put that down to people using the refund system as a demo,” Newman replied on Twitter. “I think in the long run, people knowing the refund system is there probably gained us more sales than it lost us.”
And the reason so many copies were returned:
“Not fun followed by bad performance – which is pretty fair I think.”
