New Overwatch Open Division Allows Amateurs into the Competition
Blizzard announced the Overwatch Open Division, a new league that allows amateur Overwatch players with “a more formal, structured tier of competition.”
Everyone who attained Master rank or higher in the most recent competitive Overwatch season qualifies for Overwatch Open Division. However, it should be noted that qualification is divided into seven regions: Western Europe, Eastern Europe, North America, Latin American Spanish Speaking Countries, Brazil, Australia/New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
If you haven’t participated in competitive play, Blizzard wants you to know that there is no need to worry, promising the Overwatch Open Division is not a “one-off event.”
