A Mousepad That Charges Your Wireless Mouse – Corsair Concept Zeus
Computex has brought a lot in the way on innovation in the world of PC gaming. However, Corsair still came out of left field with one of the most unique and useful products of the entire show.
Corsair’s Concept Zeus mousepad is the first of it’s kind. The pad actually charges the accompanying Concept Zeus mouse while in use. Oh, and that’s without any wires.
That’s right. This mouse pad will charge your wireless mouse while you use it. This is achieved through Qi charging technology. In other manufacturers start to use the same tech in their mice, technically any wireless mouse could be paired with the Concept Zeus mousepad.
And that’s good considering wireless mouse options like the Logitech G900 are becoming increasingly popular with gamers.
Not everything is wireless, however. The mouse pad requires two USB ports in order to continue charging the Concept Zeus mouse. Still, the trickle charging means that, theoretically, the mouse will run forever.
Corsair has kept details under wraps for the most part, so Concept Zeus is probably still a ways away. Regardless, we’re excited to see Corsair push mousepad technology (as well as keyboard tech) outside of just adding a bunch of RGB lighting (I’m looking at you MM800).
Even mentioning “mousepad technology” shows the state of the PC gaming world, and that’s an exciting this. We’ll keep you updated as details progress.
