Lenovo Launches New Gaming Laptop
Today Lenovo has launched a new line of laptops, but the one that caught our attention is the Lenovo Legion Y920, specifically aimed at gamers. They boast the biggest claim of it being “the best gaming laptop yet” – pretty bold words.
The Legion Y920 is VR ready with a 17.3 inch screen, HD IPS panel that is Nvidia G-sync compatible. Lenovo says the laptop can feature up to “Nvidia GeForce 1070 8G DDR5” graphics adapters. No more information about lower specs is available right now though.
General computer use will prove no issue either as the Legion is fitted with “Intel’s latest overclockable 7th Gen Intel Core i7k processor” The rest of the laptop is your standard 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD and 1 TB hard drive, with plenty of ports such as USB3, Thunderbolt, HDMI, DisplayPort 6 in 1 card reader and RJ45.
Other aspects which aren’t covered by the spec sheet include this being Lenovo’s first laptop to feature a mechanical keyboard, fitted with a num-pad, with the beloved per-key RGB backlighting too.
How much does this all cost I hear you say? Well as you’d expect it’s pretty hefty, at a whopping €2,599 (~$2900) and will be available later this month
