Sea of Thieves Technical Alpha This Weekend
Sea of Thieves will be holding an alpha test this weekend for the first time.
Rare’s new game, Sea of Thieves is a co-op adventure, that has been tested on Xbox One before. The PC test will be invite only, and they have already begun sending them out. Only 1000 players will take part, with varying hardware configurations.
The reason behind this test is to try out the auto-detect settings, to make sure players get a smooth experience. Rare are also hoping for feedback on the game’s keyboard and mouse controls. The alpha test will have the same content as the Xbox One alpha.
The alpha starts on Saturday, May 20th and will run from 7-10pm BST. There isn’t an easy way to register for the alpha at this stage, but one will assume when it enters beta, there’ll be an open invite scheme.
