Germany Gets Uncensored Half-Life Release Almost 20 Years Later
Back in 1998 when Half-Life was released to the world, Germany got a different version to everyone else.
Instead of scientists dying, they would just kind of kneel down and cry. All of the marines were robots, it was just all off.
But what a time to be alive. 2017 marks Germany’s full release of Half-Life in all its original glory.
Released on Steam, called Half-Life Uncensored Germany has had a troubled relationship with content in video games. Understandably, any Nazi imagery is banned and there were also calls for an outright ban of violent games back in 2010 as a result of a mass shooting.
