Prey Will Be Optimised for PC Launch
With the launch of Prey just around the corner, you wouldn’t be too horrified to hear that some PC gamers are a little bit skeptical about the release, given the state that Dishonored 2 released in. Thankfully the studio behind Prey have come out and said that this will not be the case with their reboot of the franchise.
Arkane president, Raphael Colantonio, said to GamesSpot that the development team has “doubled its thoroughness” in terms of optimizing Prey for a flawless PC experience and that it has been developed for PC first, and then being ported to consoles.
This time we are, given what happened with Dishonored 2, we doubled our thoroughness in making sure that the game is going to run smoothly. At this point the game is fully ready, but that’s what we’ve been doing for the past months–a lot of tests on different configurations and making sure it works. So we’re pretty confident. You never know. But we’re pretty confident.
Prey is an upcoming first person adventure game in development by Arkane Studios, and is scheduled to release on the 5th May 2017 for PC, PS4 and XboxOne.
