CHET FALISZEK LEAVES VALVE
Chet Faliszek has today announced that he is leaving Valve Software after almost 12 years.
Faliszek, who alongside Erik Wolpaw was behind Man Murray, contributed to the Half-Life 2 episodes and helped design Portal 2’s sense of humor. Recently he had moved to help push Valve’s virtual reality movement.
Chet leaves after fellow writer Erik Wolpaw left earlier this year and Half-Life writer Marc Laidlaw left Valve in 2016 too.
Chet went on to say that his departure was amicable, and not drama filled. Followed by “I work there for 12 years, shipped a bunch of great games and some amazing hardware and wanted to change things up. There’s no news on what’s next, I will let you know when that happens.”
There is no question that Faliszek was an influential member of the Valve team, and there is no doubt he will be missed. We can now look forward to what is next in this man’s career!
