Psyonix is Taking Rocket League to China
Independent game developer and publisher Psyonix announced that they’re going to be taking their wildly popular Rocket League to the Chinese market. Psyonix will be partnering with Tencent Holdings Limited, a leading provider of Internet services in China, to bring the game to market.
The title will follow the free-to-play model with items available for purchase in the Chinese release.
This expansion into China marks a huge milestone for Rocket League. To date, the game has grown to more than 30 million players who have played more than 1.25 billion completed matches since the title’s launch. Rocket League has been nominated for over 150 Game of the Year awards and that same excitement which put it on the map will now be available to a Chinese market.
